Before getting up, Alva and I were already awake ... getting dressed, having breakfast and off to Åhus ... An uneasy feeling suddenly blew through me, so I looked again at the Internet site. And there: Tuesdays closed. 😱
So again looked in the net. Kristianstad
Lillö Djurklinik
has opened. In the car. I opened the front door and the snow whistled around my ears. Alva looked at me questioningly, because half an hour before, nothing was ...
Arrived at the clinic at 9:00 am in Kristianstad, we marveled for the first time. Entrance door open and we stood in the empty waiting room. That was great for us once. But there was no reception desk, only closed doors. 🤔
... but who can read is clearly in the advantage ...
A sign "Knock and put. We will take care of you as soon as possible ... "ok, knocked and indulged in our favorite activity 🤪 .... WAIT .... a phone rang, Alva growled and gave a loud ... nothing ... heard anyone again, Alva has whined and then barked loud .... nothing ... wait .... knocked again ... nothing ... there was another patient, but immediately went out the door again and waited outside ... nothing .. .. then at 10: 00h (!) someone came with a note in his hand from the door and called me. No, not by name, but "You're welcome to come, it starts now." Amazement on my part. Short back and forth, then turned out the confusion. The woman with the slow-spinning male (a boxer) outside the door was meant. The male would now be honed by 2 women passing us (which of course pleased me for the signs of Alva 😉). Door to and rest. I would get increasingly annoyed .... Another 5 minutes later, the helper came back and took care of (finally) us. Our request explained and the helper left with a slip of paper and my ID and Alva's vaccination certificate.
Then she came back frighteningly fast ... "I'm sorry, we do not have time. Since you should have been here at 9: 00h "😳 ... 😡" we did not hear anything "... 😤 ... 🤬 ..." There is a clinic in Kristianstad. Try it ... "😤 ... 😤 ... 🤬 ... shut the door and she was gone. 😡
Short
checked
via smart phone ...
Envidensia Djurklinik... Alva and I drove right there. There we arrived at 10: 35h. There was a reception desk, super nice helpers and we only had to wait 5 minutes. And that with served coffee ☺️. The next male, this time a very small half-breed turned on the wheel 😉 ...
And again it was for Alva general examination, blood withdrawal and once the pop for the Vaginalabsrich (cytology) hold out. During the investigation in the conversation, the course of the 'heat' was gone through again and then we had to wait again.
But here everything was clarified in the discussion of the results, including some more about the
general understanding of
the heat, the time of cover, and concepts and their discrepancies to my books and my original understanding. "Other countries, other customs" summarizes it best briefly together .... (Here in Sweden a bitch is in heat in Östrus, so if the Hübdin is with us in the Stehtagen 🤔)
Alva is definitely in late proestrus, according to cytology. Now you should wait for the progesterone value. But this is expected to be at noon today, but no later than tomorrow at noon ... so again much poorer, but this time at least smarter. Now I indulge in my favorite pastime, the waiting, while Alva blissfully snores next to me. 😏
It remains exciting ....

We wish first of all to have had a nice Easter. We are now almost snowed in and enjoy the calm after the storm '.
Yesterday we spent another 'art round', further internet research and another long phone call, this time with Sndra Schild, the mother of Alva, regarding further proceedings.
Decision made, Oliver, Anna and Lisa were taken this morning by Alva and me to the train to go back to HH, since the kids have to go back to school tomorrow. Today Alva enjoys a walk with my mother in the snow in the sunshine, before we drive to the clinic tomorrow (this time in
Åhus, about 21km away) to re-check.
So it remains exciting ....

After arriving in the blizzard in Hörröd (Sweden) on Thursday evening after a 6 hour drive, Alva first enjoyed the romp in the snow.
(Kar-) Friday was then once romp with the kids in the snowy garden and drinking coffee with my parents announced. A little art of the annual Easter art exhibition of the
ÖSKG
looked at to come to other thoughts.
Saturday then Oliver and I will take Alva to the nearest emergency service clinic in Hassleholm
(58km away). Anna and Lisa stayed with my parents and enjoyed the morning ... In the clinic, we would not have to wait 10 minutes until it was our turn. Followed by the blood collection, general examination by the vet and removal of a vaginal smear. After that it was supposed to wait ... wait ... wait ...
Scarce two hours and a meanwhile full waiting room we got the results.
"Alva is not in heat. The cytology shows, Alva is in the Proöstrus. The progesterone value is 1. "
Astonishment spread throughout my life. On multiple requests on my part, how long it could take then, she said only, after HH she would not drive. Monday was too early. But within the next 14 days, the time has come. "
Mmmmmh, 🤔 not in progress, progesterone 1, Proösterus ..... We three then drove home again.
On the trip, I called Anneli, talked to her for a long time, and postponed the meeting. Once home, Lisa's disappointment was great -my surprise at the results, too.
After reading again, Internet research and a long conversation with Daniela, a good friend and stud dog owner, Oliver and I decided that he will take the kids back to HH on Monday with the kids and I will be with Alva and Auto until further notice stay.

It will be exciting....
After the weekend, the dogs found Alva already very exciting, but they showed no interest or any other signs, we went out of overbidden males.
At the seminar on Sunday with
Lara Köstermadam was already badly concentrated and marked conspicuously frequently. Significantly more often than the last few weeks.
Since we anyway want to go to Sweden over Easter and I did not want to miss the 'date', I went to the vet today as a precaution.
There we were greeted warmly and after describing the reason for my visit just a short wait to be sent. According to the vet, I first got a smile saying "oh, she is not in heat yet? Nothing yet? Well ... Anyway, a blood test target test was done. Wait ..... wait ..... wait ....
Then came the result paired with a grin and a "you know your dog apparently very well ...."
"Since it is now Easter and with a new test in 2 days (Good Friday) is difficult, they are in Sweden and and and I advise you to visit the dog from Sunday. So it's best on Monday. "
As I said, it will be exciting! Now I'm really excited and Alva sleeps my excitement at my feet ...
Anneli was informed immediately. I will keep you up-to-date. ☺️
